This section will discuss three of the activities that I do with my students that brings authentic, technology-rich opportunities together with global awareness.  Throughout my experience with the NLGL program, I have learned to make each opportunity that integrates technology into my classroom meaningful for my students.  I find that my students are learning important social skills that help them become more thoughtful and empathetic to others; my students have learned to embrace diversity through our discussions of human rights violations that take place throughout the world.

ECI 524

 

In ECI 524, Theory and Research in Global Learning, I completed an inquiry project that helped me develop a unique debate regarding the morality of atomic weapon use during WWII.

My students study human rights and current events frequently throughout the school year and with the help of Twitter, we communicate with other classes.
